You can make an appointment by phone or email. You can also visit during drop-in hours for brief support or to schedule an intake appointment.
We offer drop-in sessions. These are shorter appointments (30 minutes) that are designed for brief support and to schedule a future intake appointment. There are a limited number of sessions available each day. Sessions can be booked on the day of in person or by calling the Student LifeLine at 905.721.3392.
Please note, we strongly recommend students call the morning of the day they plan on attending a drop-in session to hold a spot if possible. There are days that the drop-in hours are not available due to students in crisis, other meetings, events, etc.
North Oshawa Location
- U5 building, U5-61: Monday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Downtown Oshawa location
- UOIT-Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre (UBISC): Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 61 Charles Street, Room 225: Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Counselling sessions are up to 50 minutes in length. We encourage you to discuss your concerns and we will work together to come up with a plan to address them. This initial meeting will determine the best services to meet your needs.
We provide short-term counselling and case management support. Follow-up appointments with us ensure the services you are receiving or have been referred to are addressing your concerns. You can contact us at any time to make an appointment.
