Indigenous Cultural Advisor - Jill Thompson

The Indigenous Counsellor has developed culturally relevant services and programs to meet your individual needs as a First Nation, Métis or Inuit student. Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students are encouraged to use our counselling services.

Services include:

  • cultural lunch-and-learn sessions
  • cultural teachings and guidance
  • educational workshops and on-campus events
  • Indigenous Awareness Week
  • one-on-one counselling
  • talking circles and small-group counselling
  • Visiting Elders program

The Student Development Specialist - Indigenous Programming has developed culturally relevant services and programming to meet your individual needs as a First Nation, Métis or Inuit student. Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students are encouraged to use our advising/referral services and attend the events and workshops being held in the centre.

Services include:

  • advising/referrals to other services on/off campus
  • Indigenous Awareness Week
  • Pathways assistance
  • personalized tours of both campus
  • recruitment and admissions assistance
  • running educational and cultural events on campus
  • volunteer program
