Student Experience Centre

Undergraduate students

The Student Experience Centre (SEC) provides programming, off-campus living inquiries and involvement opportunities for students at UOIT. Students are encouraged to participate as mentees in our UOIT Peer Mentorship programs and receive guidance from an upper-year, trained student mentor. To find out more about the program and how to get involved, please visit the UOIT Peer Mentorship programs web page in the Student Life portal.

The SEC also provides specialized student supports for Indigenous students. Indigenous students are encouraged to connect with the Student Development Specialist – Indigenous Programming, if they have any questions about admissions, registration, scholarships, bursaries, and/or sponsorship opportunities. To find out more about services and support for indigenous students, please visit the Indigenous website.

Graduate students

The SEC also provide support and programming for graduate students. By participating in the Graduate Student Mentoring program, students can get connected with an experienced graduate student mentor. Our Graduate Student Café provides opportunities for graduate students to connect with other students through our face-to-face and online (Adobe Connect) group discussion sessions. For more information about the programs, please visit the Graduate Student Mentoring Program and Graduate Student Café pages.
