Residence life

On campus at UOIT, both traditional suite and apartment-style residence options are available. Simcoe Village and South Village residences offer accommodations to all incoming students meeting certain criteria. Students living in residence are often living away from home for the first time. Residence life is full of new experiences as well as new challenges as students become accustomed to living on their own.

The Residence Life staff will assist your student with their transition to residence, offering a variety of academic and social programming in this community setting, with an emphasis on personal growth and development. Resident advisors, residence academic leaders and community advisors are all part of the Resident Advisor team, promoting a safe and supportive community for your student.

The apartment-style residence, South Village residence, is ideal for students who would prefer the independence of apartment living while maintaining the convenience of living on campus. It offers three- and six-bedroom units with convenient features such as in-suite laundry machines and parking.
