Our Services


  • Professional, short-term individual counselling and therapy

    • Sessions are up to 50 minutes in length
    • This initial meeting will determine the best services to meet your needs
    • Email reminder of this appointment is sent through your email
    • Filling out intake and confidentiality forms prior to your appointment
    • Receive more information regarding our services
    • Emotional Wellness Scale: is a tool which asks a series of questions that allows the student and their counsellor to track their emotional well-being and progress within it.  This short survey is completed prior to each session which allows for accurate tracking of your emotional health.
    • After your intake appointment, your counsellor will discuss next steps.
    • Appointments can be rebooked with your counsellor or by calling or emailing.
    • For longer term or more intensive counselling and therapy services, we can provide options for you with community referrals.
    • Check in at the front desk when you arrive for any appointment.
    • If you are waiting for more than 10 minutes after the expected start time of your appointment, feel free to check in with the front desk again.
    • You will be asked to complete a short survey called the Emotional Wellness Scale prior to each appointment
    • Drop-in sessions are shorter appointments designed for brief support.
    • Sessions can be booked on the day of in-person or by calling the Student LifeLine at 905.721.3392.

    If you are experiencing an emotional crisis on campus during business hours, call the Student LifeLine. 

    Please note, we strongly recommend students call the morning of the day they plan on attending a drop-in session to hold a spot if possible. There are days that the drop-in hours are not available due to students in crisis, other meetings, events, etc.

Your information is protected and confidential. Unless required by law, anything discussed in counselling remains confidential. Parents, professors, administrators and others are not provided with any information regarding a student in counselling.
