Crisis Centre

iBegin is designed to promote students' academic and personal success. Sessions are focused upon student services, academic expectations, and other topics related to the university experience. Students will have the opportunity to meet  fellow classmates, faculty and staff; learn strategies for attending university lectures; and learn about UOIT's vibrant campus culture.

The university recognizes that parents, families, and other personal supports play an important role in the successful transition of students into university. Parent and Family Orientation is a program within iBegin, designed for the families of new UOIT students to learn about the transition into post-secondary education, and how they can best support their student throughout their academic career.

We encourage students to invite up to two support people to join us at iBegin, where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the services, resources and programs available at the university, and learn about the student experience current students, faculty, and staff.
